Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of medical directors, registered nurses, pharmacy directors, clinical pharmacists, specialty pharmacists, quality directors, as well as network physicians affiliated with various MCOs, health systems, and other payer organizations.

Statement of Need/Program Overview

Currently, there are promising approaches in the treatment pipeline including new therapeutic targets, innovations in anti-VEFG dosing and delivery, oral treatments, and gene therapy. With better understanding of the molecular mechanisms and pathophysiology of retinal diseases, alternate pathways are being targeted in various clinical trials. Managed care professionals will benefit from perspectives on novel and investigational therapeutic strategies in the drug pipeline.
